Raku versus Perl6
9 november, 2018
Elizabeth Mattijsen wrote a big post about #raku alias. I think she is right, users will face with confusion: where the basic name and where the alias. A few days ago Alan Rocker on LinkedIn commented my post, he said that alias «should make Duckduckgo searches for information much less cluttered», but I think it's a sarcasm.
Anyway, today there is a conflict [github, reddit] within perl6 core devs (i suggest that #raku was a catalyst), and it has parallels with Parrot — Parrot devs thought that Parrot was more than just «The virtual machine for Perl 6». I hope community will stand and overcome this storm.
